On behalf of R2R, we would like to welcome you to our memorial scholarship page. Please find information about R2Rs scholarship program, as well as photos and a short bio from past recipients. While you are here, we hope you will consider contributing to our memorial scholarship fund.
Heroism doesn't always happen in a burst of glory. Sometimes small triumphs and large hearts change the course of history.
Your support and contributions help give students an education opportunity and our fallen service members a lasting legacy.
The R2R team consists of dedicated volunteers who distribute your financial investment towards collegiate scholarships across America.
R2R works with the family of a fallen service member to endow a $1,000 scholarship in the name of their loved one. This lasting Memoriam is presented during a special ceremony. The R2R team makes a presentation to the family. In turn, the family presents the scholarship to the recipient. These scholarships honor both the families left behind as well as the hero they represent. It's a moment for the past, present, and future to come together in one united purpose.
My name is Elijah Griffin and I live in Somerset Kentucky, where I have lived for most my life with my mom and stepdad. I’m also a pretty easy-going guy who kind of beats to my own drum. Some of the things I’m interested in are video games, technology, history and a lot of other things. My future plans are to go to college and get a Batcheler’s degree in cyber security, I also have plans to join the military and get a job with my degree.
On behalf of R2R we would like to introduce you to Elijah Griffin, graduating senior 2021 Somerset high and recipient of the 1st annual Air Force SSgt Griffin, Travis L Memorial Scholarship.

On behalf of R2R we would like to introduce you to Rebekah, Freguson, graduating senior 2021 Mayville high and recipient of the 1st annual Army 1st Lt, Johnson, David A Memorial Scholarship.
Now, a few words from Rebekah.
Hello! My name is Rebekah Ferguson and I'm a senior at Mayville High School. I plan to attend Brigham Young University - Idaho in the fall in pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation. Recreational Therapy is a career that works with individuals who have physical and mental disabilities. This is done through recreational activities such as arts and crafts or sports. Helping others and giving back to my community is something that has been very important to me since I was young. I knew that the most crucial requirement for my future career would be that it would help people in need and make a difference. This scholarship will be immensely beneficial in helping me pay for the cost of a higher education and obtaining a bachelor's degree. I am so thankful for this great honor of being chosen for this scholarship.
